If you are going to Cebu, you don’t want to missed the waterfall chasing activity in Samboan, Cebu. Samboan is located at the southern part of Cebu which can be reach via bus or van. From Cebu South Bus Terminal, ride a bus going to Bato via Barili.
The three main waterfalls you should visit are the Dau/Dao Falls, Binalayan Hidden Falls, and the Aguinid Falls.
The first waterfall I visited, with 20-30 minutes of trek, you can enjoy the scenic beauty and cold water of this waterfall.
Entrance fee is Php 20.00 and the tip for the guide is up to you.
Nearby falls are Binalayan Hidden Falls and Aguiinid Falls, all are in Samboan, Cebu
You can opt to rent a habal-habal for Php 250.00/head. The habal-habal can accommodate 2 persons, which will bring you to these falls.
Binalayan Hidden Falls
Just few minutes away from Dau Falls, Samboan, you can enjoy the relaxing feel of this multi-layered waterfall with just 10-15 minutes of trek. The cold water from this water fall can make you tired body relaxed.
On rainy months, the water falling from the falls is much stronger than the days of summer, I know you know why. 🙂
Entrance fee is Php 20.00 (It’s legit because you will be issued a receipt upon payment.)
Guide fee has no fix rate. Give what you feel is reasonable.
A six layered waterfall, with a little bit of technical trekking, so it is recommended that you acquire a guide. There’s no fix rate for the guide fee, just a considerate fee will do.
How to get to Aguinid Falls.
• From Cebu South Bus Terminal, ride a bus going to Bato via Barili. Ask the driver to drop you off to Aguinid Falls. • Entrance fee is Php 20.00 • Guide fee has no fix rate.
PS: I wasn’t able to shoot a video of the last layer, I hadn’t had the chance because there are so many people at the falls. Best time to go here is by 6-7am because there’s still no tourist that time.
